We're Here To Assist You With Exploring Health Protection

The FCT Health Insurance Scheme (FHIS) was established by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The scheme was designed in line with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Act, which mandates health insurance coverage for all Nigerians. Initially, FHIS focused on enrolling public sector employees, but over time, it expanded to cover private sector workers, informal sector participants, and vulnerable groups. The scheme aims to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) by ensuring that all FCT residents, regardless of their socio-economic status, have access to essential healthcare services without financial hardship. FHIS operates through various healthcare providers across the FCT, offering comprehensive medical services, including preventive, curative, and maternal healthcare. Its implementation aligns with the broader national goal of strengthening the healthcare system and reducing out-of-pocket expenses for medical treatment.
